About the RoleThe HSE Team Leader (Saudi Talent) role is based in Riyadh, and is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally with strong field leadership capability and hands‑on experience in implementing safety systems across service, installation, and turnkey project environments. Operating within a structured, multinational organization, you will lead the safety team, strengthen compliance, and drive safety culture transformation across all Daikin KSA operations.
In this leadership role, you will oversee site-level safety performance, coach and guide safety officers, ensure alignment with Daikin Group standards, and support both operational execution and strategic safety initiatives. You will be a central point of coordination for governance, reporting, regulatory compliance, and subcontractor safety management within Saudi Arabia.
How You Will Make an Impact Safety Leadership & Governance- Lead and supervise safety officers, ensuring consistent execution of safety procedures and operational controls.
- Implement and enforce Daikin’s HSE policies, objectives, and standards across all KSA business units.
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with SFDA, MOMRAH, HCIS, Saudi Labor Law, and other statutory HSE requirements.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical safety issues, high-risk findings, and incident investigations.
- Conduct high-priority inspections, audits, and deep-dive compliance reviews across project, service, and installation sites.
- Validate JSA, Risk Assessments, Permit‑to‑Work systems, and site‑specific HSE plans.
- Oversee emergency preparedness, drills, and alignment with Daikin MEA standards.
- Lead root cause investigations using structured methodologies (5‑Why, Fishbone, fault‑tree).
- Ensure timely closure of CAR / NCRs and track recurring patterns to recommend systemic improvements.
- Contribute to regional HSE dashboards, KPI reviews, and performance tracking.
- Mentor junior safety officers to uplift capability, ownership, and field effectiveness.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, refresher training, and awareness campaigns.
- Promote behavioural safety, BBS‑based initiatives, and positive safety culture across technicians and subcontractors.
- Lead subcontractor HSE prequalification, compliance checks, and periodic evaluations.
- Coordinate closely with operations, projects, service, warehouse, and external partners to ensure safe execution of all activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 7 years of HSE experience, including at least 3 years in a Supervisory or Team Lead role in a manufacturing or industrial environment; HVAC, metal fabrication, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of KSA regulatory bodies and statutory HSE frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead audits, risk assessments, and high‑complexity incident investigations.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with digital HSE reporting tools or Power BI is an advantage.
- Effective leadership, communication, analytical thinking, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Must have NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and risk management practices.
- First Aid & Fire Warden (preferred)
- Valid NCOSH individual license (Practitioner or Professional track) – Mandatory.
- Strong field presence, ethical, proactive, and able to lead under pressure.
- Ability to influence diverse teams and contractors.
