Job Summary:
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services for the organization, ensuring that procurement processes align with company policies and objectives. In addition, the Procurement Supervisor will lead a team of procurement specialists, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
- Manage and supervise the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective procurement operations
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cost savings and streamline processes
- Oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, logistics, and operations, to assess and address procurement needs and requirements
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
- Monitor market trends and analyze pricing data to make informed purchasing decisions
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and enforce compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and generate regular reports to track procurement activities and outcomes
- Stay updated on industry best practices and relevant regulations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Aware of procurement software and system
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
