Senior Director - Development; Utilities; MAS

Overview

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Director - Development - to oversee the planning, design, and implementation of essential utility infrastructure for our ambitious entertainment and leisure project. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that Qiddiya can support a wide range of attractions and facilities with reliable utility services.

• Oversee the preparation of business cases, planning, design, stakeholder engagement and management, project controls, operator handover and closeout
• Review and update development brief outlining district scope including objectives, timing and budget to guide the concept s overall direction
• Conduct site visits, respond to queries, assess and review bids; technical and commercial to ensure successful delivery of all assets
• Engage with key stakeholders, government entities, third-party purchasers and developers, operators and other Qiddiya districts teams
• Manage the achievement of the team s objectives through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance and developing the team to maximize performance
• Provide overall direction and guidance to mentor, coach, motivate and challenge team players providing opportunities for growth and development
• Promote sustainable utility practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 25 Years experience within the utilities sector; have undertaken similar roles for at least 5 years
• Strong background in planning and executing utility projects, including knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards
• Exceptional project management skills, with proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions and mitigate risks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement
• Experience with sustainability initiatives in utility management is a plus
