As a team player and part of the Agronomy Team he should always be available to help and participate, when needed, in any special maintenance operations or competitions preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement the preventative maintenance of all golf equipment putting health and safety as a top priority and environmental concerns as part of the overall maintenance program. This program will include the daily routine maintenance necessary for a good functioning and operability of the entire equipment fleet of the golf course maintenance, including generators, grinding machines, compressors, elevator turf lifts, fuel pumps as well as all golf carts.
  • Ensure that the preventative maintenance is kept as scheduled and work with each GC Workshop Manager (GCWM) and GC Superintendent (GCS) advising and coordinating the equipment repairs.
  • Plan the griding of the mowing equipment and ensure that the quality of cut of the mowing machines in all golf courses is in top condition.
  • Together with each GCWM he will be responsible for choosing the correct lubricants and fuels for each equipment ensuring that they are used throughout the year with no disruptions.
  • Coordinate with the different GCWM and GCS the availability and operability of all equipment for the renovations works, programming in advance the maintenance, lubrication and repairing, in accordance with the renovations plan.
  • Support the ordering of spare parts, if necessary, for the maintenance and repairs ensuring that there is a minimum downtime for repairs
  • Implement a record keeping system of the equipment preventative maintenance and repairs, costs of repairs and equipment condition and faults
  • Design and collaborate in the implementation of a monthly equipment maintenance and repair report
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts, fuels and lubricants necessary for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and golf carts throughout the year ensuring that parts are always available
  • Assist the GCWM in the preparation of a detailed yearly budget for the use of spare parts, lubricants and fuels.
  • Coordinate the different GC Workshop teams to maximize their performance and productivity.
  • Create a training program for mechanics and perform hands on training on all equipment maintenance, functioning, safe operation, and proper cleaning in accordance with the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist in the management of the storage and elimination of leftovers and used materials of the equipment maintenance, in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Together with each GCWM support the maintenance and conservation, in a good estate, of all the tools and equipment, including his proper storage, thinking always in the safety of persons and assets.
  • Together with each GCWM ensure that all the areas in the workshops are cleaned weekly and in good condition, including the compressor house, grinding room, and fuelling area.
  • Communicate to the AEA if critical problems occur with any equipment and if any assistance is needed.
Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a golf course or heavy equipment environment.
  • Technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing golf course equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
Skills and Competencies
  • Leadership and management skills, with experience supervising a team of technicians or mechanics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of workshop management principles, inventory control, and budget management.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
