Stock Controller's responsibilities include processing orders, checking that stock levels are consistent, and ordering new products if needed. also update computer systems with fresh information about available inventory in order to optimize business efficiency overall.
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Submitting purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) to internal databases
- Placing orders to replenish merchandise as needed
- Track shipments and address any delays
- Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
- Coordinates stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the sales and finance departments.
- Enters shipping and inventory data in the computer system
- Utilizes the company’s inventory software platform to check in products and compare deliveries to outstanding purchase orders
- Analyzes supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock.
- Manages purchasing orders for incoming equipment, services, and supplies
- Collaborates with purchasing group to determine when products are missing from deliveries and contact vendors in regards to damaged product
- Keeps track of inventory and supplies that need restocking
- Oversees stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labeling.
- Forecasts supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
- Verifies receipts and confirms purchase contents and orders are complete
- Maintains accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards
- Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
- Coordinate regular inventory audits
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments) & Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
Skill
Required:
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management software ( SAP B1)
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- Graduate in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
