As a Lawyer in the Digital & Data Practice, you will be responsible for advising clients on a broad range of digital and data-centric legal matters. This role involves staying abreast of the evolving legal landscape pertaining to data protection, privacy, e-commerce, digital innovation, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide specialized legal advice on matters related to digital transformation, e-commerce platforms, data protection, and digital privacy regulations.
- Assist clients in understanding the implications of emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and IoT in the context of regional laws.
- Ensure clients maintain compliance with local and international digital and data-centric regulations.
- Conduct in-depth research on local, regional, and international legislation impacting digital commerce, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Analyse and monitor significant case laws, judgments, and legal developments in the digital and data field.
- Prepare detailed memos and reports to update the firm and clients on significant changes in the digital and data legal landscape.
- Review, draft, and negotiate digital and data-related contracts ensuring that they are comprehensive and compliant.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their digital and data needs, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Provide support in any litigation matters that arise from digital or data issues, collaborating closely with the litigation team.
- Providing consultancy services to the clients
- Ensuring billing and collection targets are met
Post qualification experience – 3 – 7 years (some flexibility with this range)
Language(s) – English and Arabic (preferred)
Qualifying jurisdiction – Common Law
Regional GCC experience (preferred)
