The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading and scaling the organization as a trusted Fin Tech innovator in the open banking ecosystem. The CEO sets the strategic direction, drives business growth, fosters partnerships with financial institutions and regulators, and ensures operational excellence. This role champions customer value, technology leadership, data security, and regulatory compliance while maximizing stakeholder value and sustainable profitability.
KeyAccountabilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and lead the company’s vision, mission, and long‑term strategy in open banking and financial technology.
- Ensure strategic alignment across business units and functions to achieve growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation.
- Anticipate market trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs to shape future offerings.
- Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and adoption of open banking products and services.
- Oversee strategic business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Ensure profitable scaling and operational sustainability while balancing innovation and risk.
- Lead engagement with banking partners, regulators, and key stakeholders to influence and shape open banking standards.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, data privacy laws, and industry best practices.
- Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory committees, and public‑private initiatives.
- Champion the development, delivery, and adoption of secure, reliable, and scalable open banking APIs, platforms, and integrations.
- Promote innovation in data sharing, digital identity, fraud management, and API ecosystems.
- Align product strategy with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements.
- Build trusted relationships with investors, partners, clients, regulators, media, and industry bodies.
- Act as the public face of the company in media, conferences, and high‑visibility forums.
- Ensure transparent communication with the Board of Directors and stakeholders on strategic progress and risks.
- Foster a high‑performance culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, accountability, and ethical conduct.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent across technology, product, commercial, and operations functions.
- Promote diversity, equity, learning, and professional growth across the organization.
- Establish strong governance structures, internal controls, and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Monitor operational, financial, and cyber risks; ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
- Ensure robust data security, privacy, and incident response practices.
- Visionary thinking, business transformation, and enterprise leadership
- Board engagement, investor relations, and governance experience
- Proven ability to lead in complex, fast‑paced fintech environments
- Deep knowledge of open banking standards, APIs, financial regulations, and digital payments
- Understanding of banking technology ecosystems, data sharing frameworks, and platform economics
- Track record of driving revenue, market penetration, and customer adoption
- Strong commercial acumen with metrics‑driven decision making
- Experience in strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, and technology providers
- Appreciation for secure architecture, data platforms, cloud services, API frameworks, and digital ecosystems
- Ability to balance innovation with security, compliance, and operational reliability
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills
- Ability to influence decision makers across public and private sectors
- Comfortable representing the company in media, investor events, and industry forums
- Inspirational leadership with talent development and team‑building strengths
- Experience managing high‑performance cross‑functional teams
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred - Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Fin Tech, Banking, or Financial Services
- Proven success in scaling technology‑based financial products and platforms
- Experience with digital payments, API ecosystems, or open banking preferred
