We are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Technical Architect to design and oversee technology solutions for enterprise financial services clients. This role requires strong client engagement skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and compliant architectures. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Serve as the primary architectural contact for enterprise financial services clients.
  • Understand client business objectives and regulatory requirements to shape solution strategies.
  • Listen to current processes and map them to Service Now capabilities, taking stakeholders on the
  • Defend best-practice approaches (e.g., out-of-the-box) while balancing client needs and standards.
  • Articulate a clear narrative of how the technology domain operates and delivers value.
  • Present architectural recommendations and roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
  • Define high-level and detailed architectures for applications, integrations, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards specific to financial services.
  • Align designs with enterprise architecture frameworks and client governance models.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Incorporate regulatory compliance (e.g., FCA, GDPR) and risk controls into solution designs.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards and patterns across engagements.
Technical Leadership
  • Guide delivery teams through design, build, and implementation phases.
  • Review technical designs and provide recommendations for optimization and resilience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex technical challenges, ensuring architectural
  • decisions are pragmatic, defensible, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Advise clients on emerging technologies relevant to financial services (e.g., cloud, AI, automation).

Drive continuous improvement in architecture practices and client outcomes

Experience
  • 5+ years in enterprise architecture roles, ideally with financial services.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale solutions with strong security and compliance focus.
  • Strong grasp of integration patterns, data modelling, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Qualifications
  • Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – required
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator – required
  • Additional Service Now certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD) – desirable
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification – desirable.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulatory and security requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to balance strategic advisory with hands-on technical expertise
