HPE Non-Stop Systems Administrator

Role Summary

The role is responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, support, and performance management of HPE Non Stop (NS X Series) environments
, including Base
24 and BESS applications
, replication, backup, storage, and security operations. The position supports production and DR environments, ensures system availability, compliance, and coordinates with application, data center, and security teams.

• Experience with Golden Gate and DRNet replication tools
• Understanding of Base
  24 and BESS applications
• Experience with HPE Non Stop NS X Series systems
• Experience with Back Box application
  , VTC Backup tool
  , and Store Once storage
• Knowledge of View Point ,
  Web View Point , and Splunk monitoring tools
• Experience in system performance measurement, analysis, and utilization monitoring
• Knowledge of HPE XP8 storage and related SAN switches
• Knowledge of OSM tools and monitoring of hardware components
• Knowledge of Non Stop Software Essentials tools for system upgrades
• Experience with XYPRO XYGATE and Safe Com security tools
• Experience in job scheduling using Net Batch
  , backup and restore
  , PAK/UNPAK tools
• Strong experience with NSK Subsystems
  , including but not limited to:
  • TACL, SCF, SSHCOM, MEASURE, MEDIACOM, SPOOLCOM
  • PERUSE, BATCHCOM, EMS, TMF

• Provide operational support for Base
  24 and BESS application users
• Support Data Center teams for backup, restore, and job scheduling activities
• Perform and troubleshoot backup and restore scripts
• Support and manage Golden Gate and DRNet replication
• Analyze daily and peak CPU utilization and coordinate with application teams
• Manage HPE XP8 ESS storage
  , including external space allocation
• Administer Back Box for system-wide backup and restore operations
• Maintain and monitor the Store Once appliance
• Perform daily system health checks using OSM tools for hardware components
• Monitor system disks and free space
  , and proactively alert application teams
• Verify EXPAND links connectivity between Production and DR systems
• Review EMS system logs for abnormal or critical messages
• Continuously monitor systems via ViewPoint and Web View Point
• Handle incidents and issues reported by operations staff
• Monitor database replication for Base
  24 and BESS systems
• Review DRNet EMS messages
  , troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues
• Manage user access across Non Stop systems
• Coordinate with corporate security teams on compliance requirements, including:
  • MFA enforcement
  • Audit log integration with enterprise SIEM systems
  • Perform monthly payroll-related system activities
