The IT Director is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and IT operations. This role ensures that IT systems support business goals, are secure, scalable, and cost-effective, and that technology initiatives drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the overall IT strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Ensure data security, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and effective.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, including performance management and skills development.
- Manage IT budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, and technology investments.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and IT governance standards.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to understand technology needs.
- Oversee IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–12 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
- Proven experience in IT strategy, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Experience with digital transformation, cloud platforms, and modern IT frameworks is a plus.
