Cloud Compute SME Lead

We are hiring a Cloud Compute SME Lead to join a premier technology organization in the region that manages large scale multi data center environments. This is a pivotal leadership role within an enterprise infrastructure setting where you will drive operational excellence across diverse technology domains including virtualization, storage, and networking.

As the Cloud Compute SME Lead you will be responsible for managing Level 2 support operations and ensuring the stability of core IT services. You will lead a technical team to resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and manage the provisioning of critical infrastructure resources. This position bridges the gap between high level strategy and hands on technical optimization to guarantee infrastructure performance and continuity.

• Lead the team responsible for maintaining and operating infrastructure components across multiple data centers
• Ensure timely incident resolution and comprehensive problem management for core services Oversee service fulfillment and resource provisioning across Windows, Linux, AIX, and database platforms
• Support and review infrastructure projects to ensure they meet operational readiness and organizational standards
• Drive automation and standardization of tasks using scripting and tools such as Ansible
• Manage disaster recovery planning and execution for all infrastructure layers
• Provide mentorship and performance management to foster team development
• Ensure strict adherence to service level agreements and operational key performance indicators

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or Information Systems
• Minimum of 10 years experience in IT infrastructure with at least 3 years in a managerial position
• Technical expertise in OS platforms such as Windows Server, Linux, or AIX
• Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyperconverged Infrastructure
• Knowledge of enterprise storage systems, database management, and networking components Familiarity with containerization tools like Open Shift and automation frameworks
• Strong communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical teams through complex problem solving
• Relevant industry certifications such as VCP DCV, RHCE, ITIL v4, or CCNP are highly preferred
