This role is conducted within the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the Insurance Authority The Data Governance Office safeguards the Authority’s data assets by operationalizing enterprise-wide governance frameworks and tools Reporting to the Director of the Data Governance Office, this role will administer policies, metadata repositories, quality controls, and compliance artefacts that underpin reliable, trusted information for decision-making and regulatory obligations By orchestrating catalogue accuracy, monitoring data-quality metrics, and coordinating stewardship forums, the position delivers timely insights that drive remediation and continuous improvement The incumbent also serves as a primary liaison with business stewards, technology teams, auditors, and regulators, assuring consistent standards, auditable processes, and sustained data-management maturity across the organization.
Responsibilitiesand Tasks:
- Execute routine updates to the central repository of data policies, standards, and glossaries, ensuring correct version control and proper archival as directed by the Director of Data Governance Office.
- Track policy-acceptance acknowledgements from business data stewards and promptly elevate outstanding confirmations for follow-up.
- Collect, validate, and register business and technical metadata in the enterprise data catalogue in accordance with established templates and naming conventions.
- Synchronize reference-data mappings between source systems and the catalogue, flagging discrepancies for expert review.
- Monitor catalogue-system tickets, document resolutions, and liaise with the vendor on basic configuration requests.
- Run scheduled data-quality rules within the profiling platform and capture daily job results for inclusion in operational dashboards.
- Prepare weekly exception reports that detail critical data-quality findings and distribute them to data owners for remediation.
- Track the closure status of data-quality issues and maintain an auditable log of corrective-action evidence.
- Compile evidence packs, control checklists, and meeting minutes required for internal audit, external regulatory filings, and certification reviews.
- Maintain the Data Governance Office’s KPI and compliance dashboards, ensuring that figures are up to date, accurate, and ready for management review.
- Coordinate calendars, venues, and digital collaboration spaces for data-governance forums, stewardship meetings, and awareness sessions led by senior team members.
- Maintain mailing lists, attendance records, and post-session feedback surveys to support continuous improvement of stewardship training programmed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- Relevant Professional Certificate is preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
