Job Purpose
The E-Commerce Lead – Data & Merchandising will be responsible for owning site performance, customer journey optimization, and data-driven merchandising across ABYAT’s digital channels. The role sits at the intersection of analytics, CRO, personalization, and commercial strategy, driving measurable revenue growth through continuous experimentation, insight-led decision making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site merchandising across category hierarchy, PDPs, PLPs, navigation, and promotional placements to improve conversion and commercial performance.
- Own the CRO and experimentation roadmap across PDP, PLP, category, cart, checkout, and landing pages.
- Define, monitor, and report on core digital KPIs including conversion rate, bounce rate, AOV, funnel drop-offs, and cart abandonment.
- Own the cross-site content and merchandising calendar, ensuring relevance, freshness, and commercial impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with Tech, Marketing, CRM, Operations, and Business Units to optimize the website experience end-to-end.
- Optimize the customer journey using behavioral analytics and segmentation, identifying and prioritizing UX and technical enhancement opportunities with testable hypotheses.
- Deliver monthly dashboards on web and mobile performance, campaign analytics, and benchmarks versus targets.
- Build business cases and financial models to support investment in CRO, personalization, and digital experience initiatives.
- Partner with Data teams to design scalable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks, translating complex analytics into clear insights for senior leadership.
- Leverage advanced analytics and personalization platforms including GA4, Tableau, and CDP/CEP tools.
- Support the adoption of emerging digital capabilities including AI/ML-driven personalization, automation, and innovative UX technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or data/analytics roles.
- Advanced proficiency with GA4, Tableau, and Looker Studio.
- Experience with search, personalization, and customer experience platforms (e.g., Algolia, Bloomreach, Klaviyo, CDP/CEP tools).
- Proven success in executing merchandising and CRO strategies that drive measurable commercial results.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, performance measurement, and best practices.
- Familiarity with emerging digital trends and technologies including AI/ML, automation, and AR/VR.
