The Role
We are seeking a high-impact Director, Sales – Edge AI to lead Qualcomm’s growth across MEA by driving adoption of our Edge AI solutions. This senior role owns sales strategy, competitive pricing, customer acquisition, and GTM execution to accelerate design wins and revenue in priority sectors. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in AI and compute with proven business acumen, deep regional experience, and the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and synthesize complex topics for executive audiences.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Revenue Execution- Drive MEA Edge AI sales strategy and operating plan (targets, coverage, territory plays) across Qualcomm Edge portfolios.
- Lead enterprise selling cycle from proposal, pricing & negotiation, closing, and expansion.
- Build sector playbooks and account penetration plans for different key priority sectors in MEA.
- Drive YoY revenue growth by onboarding new customers to Qualcomm Edge AI platforms.
- Act as an aggressive hunter to identify, pursue, and convert new opportunities; build C‑suite relationships (CIO/CTO/CDO/Heads of AI/Innovation) and influence complex, multi‑stakeholder decisions.
- Drive field engagement via workshops, executive briefings, roadshows, and technical demos; orchestrate Qualcomm + partner teams to accelerate deal cycles.
- Lead strategic accounts and partners engagements ensuring joint offerings and GTM alignment are in place.
- Develop structured plans for each priority account, including TAM sizing, workload mapping, and conversion strategy.
- Orchestrate internal and external teams to accelerate deal cycles.
- Engage priority customers and partners to scale Edge AI solutions.
- Build and maintain a robust, multi‑vertical edge pipeline.
- Provide accurate forecasting, revenue projections, and executive‑level reporting.
- Track sales KPIs, customer acquisition metrics, and revenue expansion trends.
- Ensure CRM hygiene, opportunity qualification, and structured sales governance.
- Develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies tailored to regional market dynamics.
- Optimize pricing models to balance profitability and market share while accelerating adoption of Edge AI solutions.
- Drive attach rate growth across portfolios by aligning offering with customer value and sector priorities.
- Track market trends, customer demand, and competitive pricing to refine commercial strategy.
- Represent Qualcomm at industry events, summits, customer forums, and government programs.
- Evangelize edge/on‑device AI leadership with compelling outcomes.
- Build long‑term trust relationships in the MEA innovation ecosystem.
- 15+ years of enterprise/solutions sales experience in Edge AI/IoT, embedded systems, or device/compute platforms.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual quotas.
- Deep experience selling into MEA markets especially public sector, enterprises, and regulated industries.
- Ability to drive complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements, and close high‑value deals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
