SAP Technical Specialist in Saudi Arab

Overview

Urgent opening for a SAP Technical Specialist in Saudi Arabia.

Core Purpose of Job:

• To ensure smooth functioning of SAP Application and Servers by implementing R/3 upgrades, Kernel Patches, OSS Notes, LCP releases and Hot Packages.
• To ensure optimal performance of SAP applications by monitoring and troubleshooting problems and fine tuning SAP.
• To ensure continuity of business transactions in SAP R/3 by maintaining SAP DR System.
• To ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of SAP R/3 by implementing appropriate security mechanisms.

• Monitoring all servers and ensuring they are performing optimally.
• Implementing Application and Operating Patches, Packages and Notes as needed.
• Monitoring system logs and messages and taking preventive and corrective actions.
• Maximize SAP R/3 availability to support business decisions.
• Ensure SAP system is configured to manage changes.
• Ensure obsolete data is archived to meet performance levels as agreed in SLA.
• Ensure data centre is equipped with sufficient non-IT controls to meet availability levels as per SLA.
• Develop standards, procedures and audit controls for the SAP environment to standardise SAP system configuration.
• Ensure Audit Information System is maintained for auditing and review of changes.
• Report security incidents as per the Information Security Incident Management procedure.

IT - Network

Essential

• Graduate degree with post-graduate technical certifications in at least two of the following areas:
• Alpha Server Architecture
• Advanced Unix Tru
  64 Administration
• SAP Basis Certification
• Oracle Certified Database Administrator (OCP)

Desirable

• Project and Task Management
• Certification from ITIL or any equivalent IT Service Delivery

5+ years of in-depth experience in two of the following areas:

• Alpha Server architecture, Systems Administration and troubleshooting of Alpha Servers
• Unix Tru
  64 Administration in clustered environment
• SAP Basis Administration
• Oracle Database Management

• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies
• ABAP Programming
• Exposure to Networking and Infrastructure service management
