Security Monitoring Center Lead

To lead and operate the security monitoring centre practices, to contribute expertise in SIMAH development initiatives within risk management. Support the Security Monitoring Center Manager in ensuring independent and objective identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and control of Security Monitoring Centre for SIMAH as a whole.

• Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Leads and follows the day‑to‑day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Leads in providing analysis and trending of security log data from a large number of heterogeneous IT security devices.
• Leads in providing incident response (IR) support when analysis confirms actionable incident.
• Leads in providing threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services.
• Leads in analyzing and responding to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities.
• Leads the investigation, document and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
• Leads in integrating and sharing information with other analysts and other teams.
• Leads entry‑level SOC analyst to help them build stronger skills.
• Reviews ticket queue, reviews tickets closure or reassignment as needed.
• Updates the SOC whiteboard or any relevant POC information and prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Leads in change management calendar updates/closures.
• Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of SIMAH to meet company and department requirements, policies, and standards.
• Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
