Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly specialized and security-cleared SAP MRO Consultant to lead and manage the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) solutions for our defense operations. This role is critical to ensuring the highest levels of readiness, compliance, and asset reliability for mission-critical defense systems, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP s MRO functionalities and a proven track record of working within the unique and highly regulated defense and aerospace sectors.

• Strategic Implementation & Compliance:
  Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SAP MRO processes, from strategic blueprinting to go-live, ensuring strict alignment with military standards, operational readiness requirements, and defense-specific regulations (e.g., MIL-SPEC, ITAR, specific government compliance frameworks).
• Translate complex defense operational requirements—such as unit-level maintenance, depot repair, and flyaway kit management—into robust and compliant SAP solutions.
• Conduct detailed business process analysis and gap analysis, focusing on defense MRO challenges, including strict asset tracking, security protocols, and sensitive data management.
• Module & Process Expertise:
  Serve as the primary subject matter expert for SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Logistics Execution (LE), with a direct focus on their application in a defense context.
• Design and configure SAP solutions for critical MRO processes, including:
  Preventive & Corrective Maintenance (high operational uptime for weapon systems, vehicles, and support equipment);
  Configuration Control (serialized assets and hierarchies);
  Spare Parts & Rotables Management;
  Work Order & Depot Maintenance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Security:
  Collaborate with military and civilian stakeholders to ensure the SAP solution meets tactical and strategic objectives. Develop functional specifications for enhancements with security-by-design principles. Work with SAP technical teams to enforce security protocols and data segregation.
• Training & Support:
  Develop and deliver training programs and documentation for defense personnel; provide expert-level support for MRO-related incidents to minimize impact on readiness.
• System Integrity & Optimization:
  Monitor SAP performance and data integrity, ensuring compliance with government audit requirements. Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance maintenance operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an SAP consultant, with at least 3 years focused on SAP MRO/PM modules within the defense or aerospace industry.
• Proven experience leading at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation in a highly regulated, defense-related environment.
• Deep functional knowledge of SAP PM/EAM, with a strong understanding of its integration with MM, PP, and other core logistics modules.
• Demonstrated knowledge of defense MRO processes, including combat readiness reporting, asset configuration management, and depot maintenance.

• SAP Certification in PM/MRO or a related module.
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and its EAM functionalities.
• Familiarity with defense-specific SAP solutions or add-ons.
• Knowledge of NATO/government inventory and cataloging systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to navigate complex government hierarchies and processes.
