SAP PO Technical Consultant

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to Team Lead

The SAP PO Technical Consultant will be responsible for delivering PO program assets based on technical specifications and expert knowledge as part of the SAP development team. This role covers all aspects of SAP PO development within a complex system landscape, including interface design, development, testing, implementation, and support. The consultant will ensure smooth transitions from implementation to production operations, working closely with functional teams to integrate business processes with IT solutions.

• Perform complex PO programming, design, testing, and debugging for SAP module implementations and enhancements.
• Design and develop interfaces using SAP development tools, creating and testing integration flows.
• Define integration architecture and data flows, and configure SAP PI/PO adapters (SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC, BAPI).
• Collaborate with functional teams to align IT solutions with business processes and customer requirements.
• Develop custom objects such as adaptors, workflows, and mappings.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and support for integration testing.
• Provide Go-live and post-go-live support, including root cause analysis, issue resolution, and enhancements.
• Prepare detailed documentation on developed objects, technical designs, and operational guidelines.
• Maintain strong knowledge of SAP Process Orchestration (BPM, B2B, SAP PI/PO) solutions and industry best practices.
• Generate knowledge of current business processes, design flows, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and maintain a thorough knowledge of SAP PO architecture.

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

• 5+ years of work experience in SAP ABAP and SAP PO.
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented programming, Web services, Web Dynpro, RFC programming, XML transformations, BADIs, BAPIs, and Workflows.
• Proven expertise with SAP PO interface development (release 7.1 or above).
• EDI/IDoc configuration and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes and SAP public sector projects (a plus).
• Experience in gathering requirements, creating technical specifications, and documenting system designs.

• Certified in SAP ABAP and/or SAP PO (preferred both, or hands-on expertise in the other).
• Expert knowledge of SAP PO tools, standards, and architecture.
• Proficiency in SAP PO object design, configuration, and integration technologies.
• Knowledge of eSOA and enterprise system landscapes.
• Experience with at least three full SAP project life cycles.

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Independent, proactive, and able to function as both an individual contributor and team player.
