Job Title: Regulatory & Import Specialist

Department: Procurement

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Budget: SAR 7,000-SAR 9,000

Reporting to: Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)

1. Scope of Position

The Regulatory & Import Specialist is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements related to product registrations, certifications, and customs clearance.

The role manages SFDA (Saudi Food & Drug Authority) processes, import documentation, and regulatory approvals, ensuring that all imported products meet legal, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee product registrations, labeling approvals, and certifications with SFDA and other relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth clearance of shipments, resolving any documentation or compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into sourcing and shipping processes.
  • Monitor changes in SFDA regulations, customs requirements, and import laws; communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify risks related to compliance, delays, or product rejections; elevate issues and implement corrective actions to avoid business disruption.

    Qualifications & Skills
    • 3–5 years of experience in import regulatory affairs, customs clearance, or import compliance (preferably in the food/FMCG sector).
    • Strong knowledge of SFDA regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
    • Understanding of Incoterms, HS codes, and import duties/tariffs.
    • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve clearance or regulatory challenges under pressure.
    • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
