General Accountant

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and company policies. This role plays a vital part in the month-end closing process and providing reliable data for financial reporting.

• Journal Entries & Ledger Management:
  Prepare and record daily journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure all business transactions are accurately reflected.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  Oversee the full cycle of AP and AR, including invoice verification, payment processing, and following up on outstanding collections.
• Fixed Assets Accounting:
  Track and maintain the fixed assets register, calculating depreciation and ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions and disposals.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing:
  Assist in the timely closing of financial periods by preparing accruals, prepayments, and necessary adjustments.
• Tax Compliance (VAT):
  Prepare and review VAT filings and ensure all transactions are compliant with local ZATCA regulations and requirements.
• Financial Reporting Assistance:
  Support the finance manager in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports for management review.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience:
  
  3 to 4 years of proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using ERP software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Saudi tax laws.

• High level of accuracy and extreme attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
