Job Responsibilities:
Data Gathering & Analysis: Collect and compile financial data from sources like financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), company reports, and market data.
Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Assist in building and maintaining financial models to forecast future performance, assess potential risks and opportunities, and perform valuation analysis of potential investments.
Market Research: Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and economic indicators (e.g., political and economic developments) to understand their potential impact on investments.
Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear, data-driven reports, presentations, and other materials (using tools like Excel and PowerPoint) to summarize findings and communicate recommendations to internal stakeholders or clients.
Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of investments or company financials and conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts.
Collaboration & Support: Work with cross-functional teams, including senior analysts, portfolio managers, and other departments (accounting, legal, business development), to ensure integrated analysis and support transaction processes like mergers and acquisitions.
Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to strict financial regulations and internal policies.
SkillsEducation:
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
TechnicalSkills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Knowledge of financial software and data platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and risk metrics.
