Job Purpose
Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision. They work within guidelines and procedures in order to prepare more complex, specialized or ad hoc reports to their related field. They undertake operational activities including handling the development of ZATCA’s compliance framework as well as continuously leading the search in identifying non-compliant risks as well as cases to be tackled and resolved accordingly.
Moreover, the job holder also contributes to the completion of milestones or operational targets within the assigned functional area.
- Study international best practices in internal compliance and develop ZATCA compliance strategy including detailed action plan taking into consideration lessons learned from previous practices
- Assess ZATCA external legislative environment, identify regulatory requirements and obligations that are applicable to ZATCA and assess implication on internal policies, procedures and operations
- Check all ZATCA practices, identify potential legal non-compliance cases in order to implement preventive actions
- Develop plan for solving compliance issues in case of occurrence ensuring issues are solved in a timely and efficient manner
- Identify non-compliance risks and their impact on ZATCA, develop mitigation plans accordingly and follow-up to ensure their proper implementation
- Define and implement preventive actions for resolution of problematic issues while considering general guidance from top management on how to avoid similar situations in the future
- Constantly coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends
- Raise awareness about compliance to all applicable rules and regulations and promote compliance culture within ZATCA by providing periodical trainings and lectures in order to gradually reduce occurrence of compliance issues
- Develop and nurture fruitful relationships with local and international compliance committees and continuously strive to enhance ZATCA practices
- Develop periodic and ad-hoc reports reflecting ZATCA compliance status, compliance issues, corrective and preventive actions taken and highlight areas for improvement based on lessons learned
- Analyze reports and suggest improvements to compliance risks mitigation plan accordingly and based on additional insights from top management
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies or equivalent is required.
