As a Vice President in Corporate Tax within the EMEA Corporate Tax team, you will lead day-to-day corporate income tax and VAT affairs for entities in the GCC, supporting compliance, advisory, and strategic initiatives. You will partner closely with the regional tax lead; stakeholders across lines of business, Finance, and Management; and external advisors to assess new business initiatives, reorganizations, and operational changes.

You will manage relationships with tax authorities, lead or support audits and enquiries, and anticipate regulatory changes to maintain readiness. You will help define governance expectations, promote consistent controls, and communicate actionable guidance with clarity and influence.

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports to the tax lead for the MENA region who is based in Dubai.

Job responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day corporate income tax and VAT affairs for legal entities across the region, ensuring timely compliance and high-quality advice.
  • Support assessment and approval of new business initiatives and corporate reorganizations from corporate income tax and VAT perspectives, in partnership with the regional Head of Tax.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities; lead and support audits, enquiries, and information requests.
  • Engage with lines of business, Finance, and Management to understand operations and developments; identify and advise on key tax issues affecting the region.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and collaborate with the broader EMEA Corporate Tax team to deliver consistent outcomes.
  • Monitor evolving tax rules and obligations in the GCC; translate changes into practical guidance, controls, and implementation plans.
  • Prepare clear analyses, memos, and communications that frame issues, options, and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements that strengthen compliance, documentation quality, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain governance and risk alignment for corporate taxes and VAT; elevate and remediate issues promptly.
  • Track, prioritize, and deliver multiple projects with accountability and transparency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Arabic and English language proficiency.
  • Professional accounting or tax qualification.
  • Demonstrated corporate income tax and VAT experience in the GCC, ideally within financial services.
  • Working knowledge of governance and risk principles applicable to corporate taxes and VAT.
  • Professional proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking to develop commercially sound solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload and projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • In-house or professional services background supporting financial services firms.
  • Familiarity with GCC tax authority practices and systems, including Saudi rules and processes.
  • Experience with cross-border reorganizations and business change approvals.
  • Exposure to ERP or finance systems and data flows that impact tax compliance and reporting.
  • Experience coordinating external advisors and multi-jurisdictional tax projects.
  • Ability to develop process improvements and control enhancements in tax operations.
