Senior Finance Director

Overview

Are you an experienced finance leader who can build and scale a modern finance function inside a fast-growing mobile games business?

We’re hiring a Senior Finance Director to own finance end-to-end for a high-growth mobile games studio. This role blends operational finance, strategic planning, UA economics, monetisation and payments infrastructure, and investment modelling. You’ll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team, bringing clarity, discipline, and decision-making confidence to a scaling business.

About the role...

This is a build-from-zero leadership role. You will establish the finance foundation, introduce the right tools and processes, and provide strong governance and reporting as the studio scales. You will also own the financial strategy behind user acquisition, monetisation performance, payment flows, and long-term investment planning across a growing portfolio of games.

• Build and own the finance function from scratch, including structure, tools, processes, and controls
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and runway visibility
• Set up monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles
• Implement governance and reporting standards suitable for a scaling business

• Design and oversee revenue and payment infrastructure across regions
• Own financial oversight of ad revenue, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and local payment flows
• Partner with product, UA, and engineering on attribution, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy
• Ensure monetisation systems are scalable, auditable, and compliant

• Build and maintain financial models across CPI, LTV, ROAS, payback, and scaling scenarios
• Own UA spend forecasting and profitability thresholds
• Translate UA and product decisions into clear financial outcomes for leadership
• Provide clear go/no-go guidance on scaling, investment, and optimisation decisions

• Own financial visibility across the studio’s game portfolio and strategic bets
• Build valuation models for internal projects, partnerships, and potential acquisitions
• Support fundraising and investor conversations
• Prepare board-ready and investor-ready financial materials and reporting

• Act as a close strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team
• Turn strategy into executable financial plans and operating rhythms
• Flag risks early and propose clear mitigation strategies
• Build and lead a finance team as the company grows

• Senior finance leadership experience in gaming, tech, or another high-growth digital business
• Proven experience building a finance function from scratch (tools, process, controls, reporting)
• Strong understanding of mobile games economics, including user acquisition, monetisation, and live ops performance
• Comfortable operating hands-on while also owning strategic direction
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across product, growth, and engineering
• Clear communication skills at executive and board level
• High ownership mindset with a builder mentality
