Position Title: Cost Analyst

Job Type: Full-Time

Reef Group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Cost Analyst to support financial performance and margin protection across its perfume retail operations.

This role is responsible for analyzing product costs, landed costs, inventory valuation, and profitability using advanced Excel financial models and Power BI dashboards
. The Cost Analyst will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to transform operational data into actionable insights that support pricing, promotions, and strategic decision‑making.

• Validate landed costs for imported perfume shipments, including freight, customs duty, and logistics charges.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation per SKU, batch, and supplier.
• Monitor supplier price changes and maintain updated cost databases.
• Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards covering:
• Gross margin by SKU, brand, and store
• Inventory valuation and aging trends
• Cost vs selling price analysis
• Promotion and discount profitability
• Slow‑moving and obsolete stock exposure
• Automate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting through Power BI data models.
• Integrate ERP data sources into reporting dashboards.

• Product and SKU profitability analysis
• Pricing and margin simulations
• Discount and promotion impact scenarios
• Inventory provisions and write‑down calculations
• Utilize advanced Excel tools including Power Query, Pivot Tables, lookup functions, financial formulas, and data validation controls.
• Analyze margin performance across retail stores, e‑commerce channels, and wholesale customers.
• Assess financial impact of promotions, bundles, and discount campaigns.
• Support pricing decisions based on cost structure and target profitability.

• Monitor cost treatment of testers, display items, promotional gifts, expired perfumes, and damaged or leaking products.
• Track high‑value and luxury fragrance SKUs with high margin sensitivity.
• Identify slow‑moving items requiring provisions, clearance, or pricing actions.

• Deliver weekly and monthly profitability and margin dashboards.
• Perform variance analysis versus budget and prior periods.
• Present insights and visual reports to Finance and Supply Chain management.
• Recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency and margin performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or inventory costing.
• Experience in retail, perfumes, cosmetics, or FMCG is strongly preferred.

• Advanced Power BI skills (data modeling, DAX measures, automated refresh, and financial dashboards).
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial data sources.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• High attention to cost accuracy and margin risks.
• Ability to convert data into clear business insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under tight reporting and month‑end deadlines.
