CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To head a business unit which is the custodian of quality for the Finance, Planning and Procurement processes in the company. This is performed by providing consultancy to management in their day to day activities as well as at a strategic level. To provide the Head of Finance with technical accounting support in relation to the statutory reporting requirements of a public company.

ACADEMIC

/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
  • Business Degree
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant

Professional

Experience:

Minimum 6 years experience in a Big 4 auditing firm, preferably at Manager level for at least one year, and demonstrate sound commercial experience in previous work.

COMPETENCIES
  • Very strong technical Financial Accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  • Very strong knowledge of standard corporation tax concepts
  • Competent in operating Microsoft Office applications and experienced in SAP
  • Multi‑skilled, open to change and developmental initiatives
  • Strong knowledge in accounting concepts and business awareness
  • Significant man‑time management skill
  • Experience in training and developing subordinates
  • Experience in setting up systems and controls
  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver under pressure
  • Experience working in a multi‑cultural environment
  • Flexible and strong interpersonal abilities with effective communication across diverse professional disciplines and nationalities
  • Well organised and capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously
