Job Opening: MEP Mechanical Cost Estimator (Saudi Region) Position Overview
Position: MEP Cost/Estimation Engineer (Mechanical)

Report to:
Business Manager / Project Manager
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ):
Responsible for calculating quantities and reviewing BOQ for plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. - Cost Estimation and Quotation:
Based on the project tender documents and construction drawings, conduct cost estimation and bid pricing to ensure competitive pricing and profit margins. - Subcontracting and Procurement Support:
Identify and engage subcontractors and equipment suppliers, conducting price inquiries, comparative evaluations, and Technical Business Evaluation (TBE/CBE). - Change and claim management: handle the change orders during construction, conduct cost analysis, prepare claim materials and final account settlement.
- Market Research:
Regularly track price fluctuations of local building materials, labor, and electromechanical equipment in Saudi Arabia.
Education background:
Mechanical engineering, architectural environment and energy application engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering or cost engineering related major undergraduate.
Professional
Experience:
Over 8 years of experience in MEP estimation and cost management.
Candidates with over 2 years of experience in major public buildings, super high-rise projects, or infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East (GCC) region are preferred.
Professional
Skills:
Proficient in operating specialized software including Candy (CCS), CostX, Plan Swift, and AutoCAD. Expertise in international standard contract clauses (e.g., FIDIC), Saudi Building Code (SBC), and industry standards such as ARAMCO, NFPA, and ASHRAE.
Core Competencies:
Excellent English communication, negotiation, and written expression skills; adaptable to Saudi Arabia's work environment and project timelines.
Professional registration:
Preference will be given to candidates holding a Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration certificate.
