As a Site Planner you are responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating engineering and construction sequences, and ensuring timely delivery of all project milestones.
Your role shall be to execute planning responsibilities in line with specific obligations derived from the project company/EPC contractor’s Scope of Work for infrastructure projects such as IWTPs (Independent Water Transmission pipelines), pumping stations, substations, tanks/reservoirs and associated facilities.
You shall work closely with EPC contractors, design and site teams, and Project Company representatives to monitor, analyze, and drive progress from Financial Close through PCOD and during the Warranty period.
Responsibilities1. Project Schedule Development & Control
- Develop, review, and update the overall integrated project schedule covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Review and validate EPC Contractor’s detailed execution schedule, including milestones and time‑impact analysis.
- Perform monthly schedule reviews, lead schedule gap analysis, and recommend mitigation measures for delays.
- Analyze baseline vs. actual progress, identify critical/near‑critical paths, and maintain accurate progress reporting throughout implementation.
- Ensure all governmental approval and permitting timelines are integrated into the project schedule.
2. Planning Inputs during Engineering Phases
- Support review of EPC Contractor’s project implementation schedule for feasibility (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
- Incorporate design review workflows including:
- Basic engineering review cycles
- Detailed engineering review cycles
- Workshops (HAZOP, constructability, BIM-based reviews)
- Integrate all required design, approval, and coordination activities per OE obligations.
3. Construction Planning & Site Progress Monitoring
- Monitor day‑to‑day and weekly construction progress and verify alignment with the schedule.
- Maintain updated tracking of site activities including:
- Labor & resource deployment
- Material delivery schedules and inspections
- FAT/delivery sequencing
- Track NCRs, punch lists, QA/QC documentation impacts on schedule.
- Coordinate planning interfaces between EPC contractor, O&M contractor, and all external agencies.
4. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare monthly schedule reports, recovery plans, look‑ahead schedules, and executive updates.
- Support monthly progress meetings with EPC Contractor, lenders, Project Company, and internal stakeholders.
- Issue meeting minutes related to planning and ensure closure of planning‑related action items.
5. Testing, Commissioning & PCOD Planning
- Develop and maintain commissioning schedules, ensuring logical sequence and dependencies across systems.
- Track test readiness, test execution, and test certification timelines (SAT, FAT, performance tests).
- Coordinate schedule alignment for EPC and O&M handover processes.
6. Planning Support During the Warranty Period
- Track warranty‑related punch lists and closure timelines (monthly tracking).
- Integrate plant rectification, NDC tests, O&M feedback loops, and EPC contractor commitments into the schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in project planning, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, IWTP, water transmission, or pipeline projects.
- Experience working with Owner’s Engineer teams or EPC planning teams is a strong advantage.
- PMP or PMI‑SP certification preferred.
- Experience with BIM‑integrated planning is an added benefit.
