JASARA PMC is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of HSE Manager - Rail. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices specifically within our rail projects. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about rail safety and has a proven track record in managing HSE initiatives in the transportation and infrastructure sectors.
Your role will involve collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations and fostering a culture of safety throughout our rail operations. We are looking for a leader who can drive improvements and implement best practices in health, safety, and environmental management to support JASARA PMC’s mission of delivering safe and high-quality rail infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures specific to rail operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on rail project sites to identify hazards and promote proactive safety measures.
- Lead incident investigations, driving the implementation of corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Facilitate safety training and workshops for project staff and contractors to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
- Monitor HSE performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for continual improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders, including governmental bodies, contractors, and community representatives, to promote safety initiatives.
- Stay informed about the latest HSE regulations and standards within the rail industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE management, with a focus on rail or transportation projects for 10 years.
- Deep understanding of HSE legislation and standards applicable to rail operations.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives and foster a culture of safety in a complex project environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop risk management strategies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
