Job PurposeThe Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business development in testing & commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and engineering services for substations and industrial plants. This role combines strong technical knowledge with sales expertise to deliver client‑focused solutions that minimize unplanned shutdowns, breakdowns, and downtime. Working closely with internal teams, the Sales Engineer will position alfanar Engineering Services as a trusted partner meeting global standards for power, petrochemical, oil & gas, water, heavy industries, and commercial facilities across Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop business opportunities in substation testing & commissioning, urgent repair, and maintenance across power, petrochemical, oil & gas, water, steel, cement, and commercial building sectors.
- Promote the company’s capability in helping clients avoid unplanned shutdowns and reduce downtime through world‑class engineering support.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and long‑term partnerships.
- Conduct technical presentations, meetings, and site visits to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions, including motor rewinds and specialized electrical services
. - Prepare and submit pre‑qualification documents, vendor registrations, and technical submittals
. - Review and evaluate RFQs, tenders, and specifications
, coordinating with tendering, operations, and engineering teams to prepare competitive, technically compliant proposals. - Follow up on submitted proposals, negotiate terms, and secure profitable contracts.
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline
; provide accurate forecasts and market intelligence to management. - Provide technical input during proposal and negotiation phases to align solutions with client needs and project requirements.
- Attend site meetings and support project teams during execution to strengthen client confidence.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities in energy, utilities, and industrial sectors.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to expand business reach and showcase engineering services.
- Experience: 3–8 years in sales/business development within electrical engineering services, preferably in substation testing & commissioning
. - Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, and engineering services. - Languages: Very good command of English (spoken & written);
Arabic is a plus. - Other Requirements:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Self‑motivated with strong business acumen.
- Willingness to travel across project sites and client locations.
