Senior Civil Engineer; M​/F

2. Main assignments

Description of the Role

• Responsible for the delivery of the quality structural engineering services to Socotec clients.
• Responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with relevant instructions
• Comply with SOCOTEC’s group policies and procedures
• Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for the relevant consultancy disciplines

Main Tasks

• Proceed with the review of documents according to the level of checking designated by the Management
• Filter and select the applicable requirements verify that evidences are justified in the Design Package under review.
• Insure compliance with standards, best practice, codes, regulations, etc...
• Give a proven technical opinion to the submitted calculation notes and elements subject to the technical review
• Elaborate and submit document review reports.

• To comply with Socotec International and client quality, safety and environmental systems and procedures at all times.
• Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
• To work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene.

• Degree qualified in civil engineering – Specialty: buildings structures
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Design Consultancy office.
• Experienced in international codes notably ACI and IBC codes;
  Knowledge of the Saudi code SBC is a plus.
• Registered at the Lebanese Order of Engineers.
