Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Project Manager (SEC Site Coordinator) to lead and coordinate all substation testing, commissioning, and protection system activities. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on experience in SEC / National Grid projects and the technical leadership to ensure full compliance with SEC, IEC, and HSE standards across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Site Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison between SEC, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure all on‑site activities follow approved procedures and safety regulations.
- Testing & Commissioning:
- Perform and supervise CSD procedures (National Grid).
- Conduct scheme checks, stability tests, end‑to‑end tests, and final trip verifications.
- Oversee testing of Auxiliary/Trip Relays, MCCBs, meters, CTs, VTs, and protection relays.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate test reports, checklists, and approvals in accordance with SEC requirements.
- Verify that all equipment and materials are SEC‑approved prior to installation.
- Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Enforce SEC HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at all project sites.
- Ensure all electrical works meet IEC and SEC quality benchmarks.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/BS). - Experience:
8–15 years of hands‑on electrical testing, with at least 5 years on SEC / National Grid projects. - Approval:
Must hold valid SEC Site Coordinator approval. - Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of GIS substations and protection relays (Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider, SEL, Hitachi).
- Hands‑on proficiency with primary and secondary injection testing.
- Familiarity with SEC documentation, drawings, and approval workflows.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination abilities.
