Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW: Kafou Energy Company is seeking a Skilled and Strong Projects Manager to play a key role in the company's Energy Services growth. The primary goal of this position is to work directly with vendors and clients through planning, executing, and closing projects in the MEP and energy field.
Responsibilities
:
- Oversee the design, installation, and testing of Energy Efficiency, Solar, MEP, and BMS & HVAC system (chillers, PACU, AHU, CHWPS’s, Cooling Towers), lighting System (Street Lights, Solar Street Lights) systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain project schedules and resolve technical issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports, identifying potential risks and challenges.
- Address client concerns and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
- Supervise testing and commissioning, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive handover documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and warranty details.
- Ensure project designs align with budget objectives during the bidding stage.
- Plan and manage manpower and resources efficiently for project execution.
- Enforce HSE compliance and industry best practices.
- Report on project status, challenges, and solutions to the Portfolio Manager.
- Follow up on pending issues with engineering teams, clients, and consultants.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost management.
- Support training and mentoring of team members for effective project execution.
- Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders to align project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in Solar, retrofit projects, HVAC, Lights Retrofitting's, Solar Lights, and BMS field.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal.
- PMP certificate is preferred.
- Certified SEC Installer is preferred.
- Good technical background.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Team working skills.
- Good English writing skills (proposal making, correspondence) to make comprehensive offers.
- Strong communication skills with capability to negotiate and manage project plans.
- Good Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid skills in MS Office Suite (Project, Word & PPT, Excel) are required.
- A background in the renewable field is a plus.
