Senior Estimation Mechanical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Estimation Mechanical Engineer to join the Tendering team. This senior-level role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical components within infrastructure projects, including HVAC systems, irrigation systems, water features, and other mechanical systems. The position is responsible for leading mechanical estimation efforts, ensuring precise cost assessments, and supporting the development of competitive project proposals.

• Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems and equipment in infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to mechanical engineering.
• Collaborate with project, procurement, and design teams to gather required technical information for tenders.
• Participate in pre- and post-tender meetings, addressing client queries and negotiating mechanical engineering aspects of contracts.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members involved in tender submissions.
• Analyze tender evaluation feedback to identify improvements for future mechanical estimations.
• Maintain reporting on tendering activities, success rates, and KPIs specific to mechanical engineering.
• Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in mechanical engineering for infrastructure projects.
• Implement process improvements and contribute to operational excellence within the estimation function.
