Role OverviewOur confidential client is seeking an HSE Engineer to support safe operations across sites and teams. This role focuses on field presence, risk controls, incident prevention, and continuous improvement through audits, training, and KPI monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Perform HSE inspections, audits, and compliance checks; track corrective actions.
- Prepare and review risk assessments (JSA/JHA), method statements, and PTW controls.
- Support incident reporting, investigation, RCA, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted HSE training programs.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reporting dashboards.
- Support emergency response plans, drills, and readiness assessments.
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and enforce site safety rules.
- Collaborate with operations to embed safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years HSE experience (site-based exposure preferred).
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, controls, and safe work systems.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 exposure or relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Experience in construction, O&M, industrial, or high-risk environments.
- Reduced safety incidents and improved near-miss reporting quality.
- Timely closure of audit/inspection findings and corrective actions.
- Improved HSE KPI performance (PTW compliance, training completion, observations).
- Strong contractor safety compliance and documentation readiness.
- Effective emergency drill outcomes and readiness improvements.
- Stable role with meaningful site impact and visibility.
