Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineering & Delivery Manager specializing in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), DMS (Distribution Management System), and EMS (Energy Management System). The Project Engineering & Delivery Manager is responsible for leading both the technical engineering aspects and overall delivery of complex projects. This role combines strong engineering expertise with delivery management to ensure projects are executed with technical accuracy, delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations.

The position requires leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and strong client engagement skills.

The Project Engineering & Delivery Manager cultivates relationships with a portfolio of customers in both Pre‑sales and project delivery phases and provides objective advice and assistance on the strategy, structure, management and operations of a customer organization, in support of identified business purposes and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering, design, integration, implementation and delivery of SCADA, DMS, and EMS projects from inception to delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand requirements, scope, and project deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee system architecture, hardware, and software integration ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control project progress, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Perform design reviews, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for technical issues.
  • Ensure quality assurance and testing protocols are followed during deployment phases.
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers, providing technical direction and fostering skill development.
  • Manage documentation including design reports, test plans, project reports, and client communications.
  • Support commissioning, training, and post‑deployment troubleshooting.
  • Drive process improvements and innovation by staying updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Respond to all client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas for in‑flight projects and file tickets for the OEM/Partners.
  • Perform use case and client specific testing runs and lead factory and site acceptance testing.
  • Report on project outcomes and present findings to project partners and stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership of the delivery and implementation of large complex solutions.
  • Analyse, define and prioritize business and functional requirements and processes and propose technical solutions to meet the business issues and close inefficiency gaps.
  • Responsibility for the business requirements through the entire lifecycle of the project from definition, implementation, test and delivery.
  • Create and maintain relationships with key decision makers, stakeholders and 3rd parties.
  • Participate & lead technical requirements workshops.
  • Prepare technical solutions for utility tenders.
  • Write and present technical proposals and presentations.
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and get them resolved using self‑driven initiative.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management for SCADA, DMS, EMS, or similar utility automation systems.
  • Proven experience in large‑scale power grid projects or distribution network automation.
  • Strong knowledge of protocols such as IEC 104, IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.
  • Experience with network architecture, cybersecurity best practices, and data communication systems.
  • Proficiency in system simulation tools and project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel and work on‑site at project locations.
Preferred Skills
  • Utility integration experience (e.g., SCADA, ADMS, OT, OMS).
  • Dev Ops hands‑on experience.
  • Cybersecurity hands‑on experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work with cross‑cultural teams and diverse stakeholders.
