Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite technical requirements and solutions between internal and external parties of the project.
- Lead and manage the project-wide interface management process, fulfilling the engineer’s obligations as defined in the approved Interface Management Plan and Procedure for Interface Management.
- Administer cross-package inputs to the interface management database and ensure each contractor initiates, manages, and closes out all interface issues in a timely manner with traceable documentation.
- Organise, chair, control, and minute regular monthly interface coordination meetings with the client, stakeholders and all subcontractors to promote cross-package interaction and close cooperation.
- Report to the employer, client, stakeholders, and engineer’s senior management on specific and generic interface management issues project-wide, on an ad‑hoc and weekly basis.
- Monitor status of interface agreements across the project and provide regular updates to project managers where appropriate.
- Collaborate with project managers, team leaders, and engineering teams working on the project.
- Develop or update operating policies for team communication, safety and risk mitigation.
- Identify interface detail plans/design, ensure boundaries are clearly identified in the design document, and develop the interface handover in the schedule.
- Develop an understanding of interface risks and mitigation measures.
- Manage and evaluate employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned tasks and provide development opportunities.
- Manage the talent pipeline through effective utilisation of employee development programmes, mentoring, career planning and succession planning.
- Manage employees’ changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices.
- Manage the implementation of department procedures and controls covering all areas so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost‑effective services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure implementation of information security practices and standards to comply with relevant policies and protect company data and information.
- Degree:
Bachelor or higher in Specification Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. - Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in mega project interface technicality.
- PMP certificate is a must.
