Job Description:

Parsons are on the lookout for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer to join our Riyadh based engagement on DGDA where you will perform a variety of project control assignments requiring the application of basic techniques and analyses.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Assists in developing and implementing and/or providing planning and scheduling services to engineering, procurement, and construction activities for assigned projects.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains planning/scheduling function on one or more larger projects.
  • Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land, services, infrastructure facilities.
  • Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates stakeholder involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Scheduling:
  • Tracks and monitors the resolution of difficult scheduling/planning problems.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.
  • Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • Reports status of schedule to appropriate project and company management as well to the client.
  • Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
  • Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
  • Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Accumulates historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
What requirements you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in mechanical, civil, or a related field. Familiarity with various software used in the Project Controls Department, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite.
