Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary project inputs.
• Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material requirements for structural steelwork.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals and respond to client clarifications.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs and ensure estimates align with budgets.
• Maintain and update historical cost data for future project estimations.
• Conduct market research to assess current pricing trends and ensure competitive bids.
• Assist in project risk assessments and propose cost-saving alternatives.

• Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in estimation, specifically in steel structure projects.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
