Carbon Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities Operational:

• Participate in developing the Carbon Management Strategy in coordination with the Policy and Strategic Planning team, and support its implementation.
• Contribute to identifying and prioritizing key carbon management initiatives.
• Identify and activate required enablers and facilitate implementation with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to setting standards for carbon management initiatives, ensuring proper implementation, and preparing detailed plans outlining timelines, milestones, and allocated budgets.
• Monitor initiatives aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions levels.
• Awareness of bilateral and international agreements related to climate change, carbon management, and conventional clean energy.
• Conduct studies to identify Circular Carbon Economy technologies and mechanisms and monitor global developments.
• Identify improvement areas in systems, regulations, standards, and metrics supporting the achievement of Net Zero.
• Contribute to drafting and developing standards, and metrics related to carbon management.
• Prepare periodic reports on departmental activities, achievements, and performance improvement recommendations.
• Comply with workplace regulations, code of conduct, and cybersecurity policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor related to work.

• Minimum of two years of experience related to the field.

• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Certified Climate Change Professional (CCCP).
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Climate Change, Engineering in a related field.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
