Fixed-Term Elementary School Counselor

AIS-R is looking for an Elementary School Educator with Social-Emotional-Learning (SEL) experience for short-term cover of an ES Counseling role.

• Offer individual counsel to students with social and emotional concerns which interfere with their optimum learning, (i.e. transitions, peer relations, behavior issues).
• Act as a resource for parents and/or provide counseling on child development concerns/issues and parenting approaches.
• Act as a resource for staff on child development issues and provide support.
• Offer support groups such as friendship groups or social skills groups.
• Honor Child Protection roles, responsibilities, procedures, protocols, and guidelines as outlined in the Child Protection Handbook to ensure the protection and well‑being of every child.
• Transition new students/families.

• Review, revise and implement guidance curriculum.
• Provide guidance lessons to designated grade levels.

• Participate in Child Study Team meetings.
• Participate in Academic, Behavior, and Counseling meetings as directed by ES Administration.

• Attend and/or request parent meetings as requested.
• Complete and file incident reports accordingly.

Work Hours:

8:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 pm Tuesdays)

Compensation:
Follows Long-Term Substitute daily rates at 500 SAR/600 SAR (licensed educator with Master’s Degree) and transportation allowance.
