Role Summary

We seek a Subject Matter Expert, Front End, Expert‑Level who shares our passion for innovation and change. This Tech Director level role requires extensive technical leadership experience and is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in the new technological era.

Key Responsibilities

• Define front end architecture strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Design scalable and maintainable architectures for web and mobile applications
• Establish coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
• Lead technical design reviews and guide UI and UX architectural decisions
• Architect reusable component libraries and design systems
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and rendering efficiency
• Ensure compatibility across browsers, devices, and platforms
• Lead accessibility adoption and ensure adherence to WCAG
• Mentor engineering teams and support capability development
• Provide code review oversight and technical guidance
• Produce and maintain architectural documentation and diagrams
• Evaluate front end frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies
• Champion mobile‑first and responsive design approaches
• Present architectural decisions to senior stakeholders

• Communicate complex technical subjects in a clear and structured manner
• Produce diagrams, models, and written artefacts that support shared understanding
• Influence product and engineering decisions through clear architectural reasoning
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

Cross Discipline Architectural Competencies

• Understanding of domain‑driven design principles
• Awareness of enterprise integration patterns
• Understanding of fundamental data architecture concepts
• Awareness of cyber security fundamentals and secure‑by‑design principles
• Understanding of Dev Ops and platform engineering practices

Location
