This role is crucial for financial control and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies to ensure maximum accuracy between physical stock and system records (e.g., ERP/WMS).

  • Monitor and track all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movements, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory data (e.g., turnover, carrying costs) to establish and maintain optimal stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
  • Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to review historical data and market trends to improve demand forecasting accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce inventory shrinkage, obsolescence, and holding costs.
  • Prepare and distribute regular inventory reports on stock status, variances, slow-moving or obsolete inventory (SLOB), and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with company inventory policies and quality standards.
  • Maintain the integrity of the inventory management database, including item master data, locations, and unit of measure conversions.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Finance teams to streamline the entire supply chain and resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Train warehouse and other relevant staff on best practices for inventory handling, counting, and system usage.
  • Ensure the inventory storage areas are organized, safe, and comply with all regulatory standards.
