Java Engineer

Location: Riverwoods, IL
Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $60.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Java Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with strong expertise in backend development and modern integration technologies. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in Java, Spring frameworks, and API development, along with a solid understanding of security and messaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for scalable, high-performance systems.
• Work with security protocols, including SSL, certificate management, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate applications with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Web Sphere MQ, or Rabbit
  
  MQ.

Must-Have Skills

Strong proficiency in Java

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

Experience with at least one UI technology

Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs

Experience with Trident (if this refers to the specific internal framework/tool)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kafka, Web Sphere MQ, or RabbitMQ
