Patient Services Representative II – Riverview

Position at Tampa General Hospital, Family Care Center Riverview.

• Greet, check‑in, and register patients arriving for scheduled or walk‑in appointments.
• Scan required documents into the system for retrieval.
• Assist with deposit reconciliation and the training of new team members.
• Assists in a team environment and helps other team members when needed.
• Other duties may include answering the phone, escorting patients to exam rooms, and scheduling or rescheduling exams.

• Proficient in computer software with excellent typing skills.
• High competency and efficiency in the registration process.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and company policies including safety, privacy, and HIPAA.
• Problem‑solving techniques and skills.
• Clear communication to establish cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and team members, creating a pleasant waiting‑room atmosphere.
• Minimum one year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
• Computer and phone experience required.
• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Previous office or call‑center experience preferred.
• Previous customer‑service experience, preferably in a medical setting.
