Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

We are currently assisting a growing client with a Temporary Controller role in the Tampa Bay area.

Responsibilities:

* Overseeing month-end close, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations

* Managing AP/AR, payroll, invoicing, and day-to-day accounting operations

* Leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

* Strengthening internal controls, documentation, and SOPs

* Managing inventory accounting and fixed assets (experience helpful but not required)

* Supporting operations and leadership with financial insights and KPI development

* Improving close timelines and overall accounting workflow efficiency

* Helping build scalable accounting processes during a transitional period

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting/Finance, CPA Preferred

* 8+ years accounting experience; 3-5+ years in a senior or Controller-level role

* Led a team of 2-3+ staff

* Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, organized

* ERP system proficiency (any major platform) and advanced Excel skills

* Strong GAAP knowledge and experience supporting external audits
