Job Summary

Receives, records, and reconciles customer service orders, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner. This is primarily an inbound position where you work with customers to process orders, resolve issues, manage billing, and support outside sales representatives. Ideally we prefer candidates familiar with construction or industrial manufacturing, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Location

This role will work from our Riverview, FL facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with production scheduling to prioritize and track projects.
  • Facilitate project progress and timeliness by contacting customers when appropriate to obtain information.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain status of drawings, engineering, and expected completion dates for upcoming projects. Update internal tools and software with necessary information and status of each project.
  • Provide necessary project information, guidance, and drawings from customers for engineering and drafting use.
  • Answer incoming customer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Respond to and investigate customer inquiries, concerns, and issues via phone, fax, mail, and e‑mail in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Receive, record, and route customer orders/changes in the appropriate manner.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide appropriate technical and/or product‑related information.
  • Research and resolve customer complaints and/or billing issues.
  • Contact customers when necessary to follow up on customer issues or orders/quotes.
  • Obtain customer feedback information.
  • Effectively communicate customer issues and concerns to all applicable internal staff members.
  • Document all contacts, actions, and responses in the customer database.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Organize and maintain file system: files correspondence and other records.
  • Maintain working knowledge of products and/or services.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales, or related sales/customer service role is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Continuous operation of computer and telephone to answer customer inquiries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • ERP – AX a plus.
  • Transportation System – Lima a plus.
