• Assist the Supervisor with the day-to-day operations including attending meetings, providing supervision of staff, scheduling, writing policies, education of staff, education for providers on laboratory tests and medical necessity.
• Can approve the paying of bills and order routing supplies in the absence of the supervisor.
• Will provide the supervisor with employee assessments for evaluations.
• May assist with the investigations of technical failures and of employee, provider, and patient complaints.
• Will assist the supervisor with short- and long-term planning in conjunction with the needs and plans of Wind River Family and Community Healthcare.
• Will assist with the laboratory accreditation and must have experience with CMS, OSHA, FDA and other regulatory agencies.
• Will assist with the Quality Control processes and must be able to follow the policy and implement a Quality Control Plan.
• Will assist with the implementation of Quality Assurance program.
• Must be able to perform and/or direct instrument maintenance, calibration, sample processing and control.
• Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
