Riverton, Wyoming Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is leading the charge actively seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a 20-bed community-based medical center in Riverton, WY. This is a flexible opportunity with a manageable patient volume, single-coverage shifts, and the chance to practice in a supportive rural hospital setting.

Assignment Overview

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shifts: 4–6 shifts per month | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Coverage Model: Single-coverage MD
• Annual Volume: ~10,800 ED visits (avg. 1.5 patients per hour)
• ED Beds: 8
• Hospital Beds: 20
• Trauma Level: IV
• EMR: Med Host (EDIS)

• Board Certified/Eligible in ABEM/AOBEM or ABFM (3 years post-residency if not BC)
• Must hold ATLS & PALS Certifications
• Experience Requirement: 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine practice
• Patient Population:
  Full spectrum, including pediatrics and adults
• Procedures:
  Standard emergency medicine procedures with support from hospital specialists
• Code Response: EM team leads all codes

• In-house coverage supported by access to ENT, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Radiology
• No trauma center designation beyond Level IV – ideal for physicians comfortable in rural EM settings

• Active WY medical license (temporary/emergency privileges available for clean files)
• ATLS, PALS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Clean malpractice and background history for expedited onboarding
• Flexible and adaptable to a small-volume, rural hospital environment

• Flexible scheduling (just 4–6 shifts/month)
• Manageable ED volume with strong hospital backup
• Quick temp privileges available (as fast as 2 weeks)
