• Install, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems, sensors, and associated low voltage wiring in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to ensure precise installation and system integration.
• Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with fire safety codes and project specifications.
• Perform field service visits to diagnose issues, perform system upgrades, and ensure optimal operation of fire alarm systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to configure sensors, alarms, and control panels accurately.
• Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into building infrastructure.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all service activities, inspections, repairs, and system modifications for compliance audits.
• Support fire sprinkler fitting knowledge when coordinating with other fire protection systems to ensure comprehensive safety coverage.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire alarm systems and electrical wiring.
• Strong understanding of system design principles for fire alarm installations in various building types.
• Experience with CAD software for designing or reviewing fire alarm layouts.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with construction inspection skills to oversee installation quality.
• Hands‑on experience with field service tasks involving sensors, alarms, low voltage wiring, and power tools.
• Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical work and fire alarm system installations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients during alarm system sales or fire alarm sales consultations.
• Familiarity with construction processes and coordination with contractors during project phases.
• Electrical experience including troubleshooting control panels and sensor circuits.
• Understanding of fire safety codes and standards relevant to fire alarm systems (e.g., NFPA 72).
